Special Forces Problem

Hi,

I recently purchased BF2: Special Forces. I installed it with the prospect of playing the night maps and warlord making me very excited BUT everytime I click start BF:SF this message comes up saying: ERROR! mods/bf2/shaders/lightning.fx not found : and fails to run

Please help me fix this!

reinstall 1.4 patch after everything else.
SF will convert the game back to no patches.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers?
Good luck.

You could always do a complete reinstall in this order

BF2 then SF then AF and EF if you have them, then patch 1.4. make sure it is the complete patch not the incremental one.

just have to repatch because installing sf installs 1.1 over any current bf2 patch

wow, it might be a patch or your disk is bad and is missing the shader file. just have someone send it to you or upload it here. They are in Data3.cab.
