Problem while installing BF 2: Deluxe Edition HELP PLEASE

Well about 40% into the installation(disc 2) I get an error saying "Failed to install Battlefield 2: Deluxe Edition, try again from the beginning.". I tried cleaning the disc despite the fact that they are brand new but that didn't help. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried installing about 5 times now and it still doesn't work:cry: . Also, the computer is about 3 weeks old so I doubt anything is wrong with the lens.

Try copying the entire disc to HDD and installing that way?

open up your drive and blow in it really hard mayb some dust in there can interfer with the laser. Make sure your on a windows account with admin rights

i have the same problem, i had to uninstall BF2 and when i tryed to reinstall i got the message " failed to install BF2 try again from the beginning"

tryed about 10 times or more to install and it failed at different parts of the install

its driving me mad any help or ideas would be great

do as suggested explore the discs and copy them to the hard drive and install from there

thanks trying that now hopefully it will work.

getting a MD5 erorr whats that about and it still wount install after i copyied the disk(DVD) to the desktop

am i doing something wrong with the uninstall.????

well that worked copying to the C drive but it took 5 trys to get it to work..... thanks all who helped

Yeah, you might be getting the same error as me. I get a CRC error when copying data3.cab

I doubt there is anything wrong with the computer lens, the comp is brand new ><

I get an error saying " Cannot copy data3: Invalid MS-DOS Function " on cd2.

Yeah, you have the same error as i do. You need to buy a new CD set now
