After reading someone else's posts about weapons and unlocks a thought that i would spend a day where i only use the basic weapons(USMC and MEC). i hadnt used most of those weapons since i got the game and i played better than i probably ever have. i had consistant games with 25+ kills using the M4, AK74, M16, and AK101. i guess you could say that im hooked on them now. now the question is...am i the only one that thinks these own?...other than the ak101, which i know just about everyone loves

Nope. The M4 is amazing, AK-74U is just about the same, especualy at pickin off people. But the M16 has the worst acuracy, I think I'm better with an MP5. -

I really like the M16. I can't handle the iron sights on the AK-101. I never use the M4.
The basic weapons are not that bad. It just depends on if you know how to use them. I think there's a stigma about the unlocks because in the beginning, it was rare for people to have the unlocked weapons and everyone wanted them. Some how it seemed that if you were good, you had the unlocks and used them (especially when it took 2 or 3 promotions for 1 unlock). I don't think the stigma of the basic weapons being noob or crummy ever wore off.

The defualt wepons are actually pretty sick if you know how to use 'em.
I love going around wasting people with the M16A2 and the RPK, at some times they work much better than the unlocks.Comment

Personally I love the original weapons the most.
IMHO the RPK > everything.
The AKs-74U is also fantastic when used with 2 round burst. DA DA, DA DA, Kill.
The M16 was my friend last night though. I was licking *** with it. I don't like the 3 round burst, and use it on semi,clicking fast if I need to.
I'e always used the original weapons, mainly because it was a status thing. Everyone was "I'm 1337zors! I've got the <fill in whatever unlock there was>" and I'd kill them with the run of the mill original weapons.
After playing for many many hours with them, I haven't found any unlock that comes close to being as capable, with the exception of the G36C and the MG36.
I especially loved shooting all those snipers with their M95's with my SVD. Hee hee hee.

what are you guys talking about? M16 is much better at a distance, and pretty good up close. AK101 is great up close, and still pretty good at a distance. You have me really confused. Are we playing the same game?Comment

given the choice, i would often take the basic weapons over the unlocks anyday. i only use certain unlocks (G36e, L85a1, P90 and L96a1) regurlarly. i find that all of the basic weapons are more than adequate for gameplay however, i must say that the unlocks look a whole lot cooler.Comment
