Do you rekon that bf2 will get "overpowered" by 2142 in terms of gameplay , alternitive weapons and game modes :salute:

lolololol everyone is going to say "omg not another 2142 vs bf2 thread" But here is what I have to say.... No. Although we might not see any new players to the bf2 community. I think ALOT of people will be playing bf2 for sometime then moving on to Quake Wars or something else.

I've noticed a small reduction in player volume during weekdays on our server. I don't think it's a permanent thing, I just think everyone wants to go play 2142 and make up their minds about it. Sure some people will forget about BF2 but I think that it will be around for quite some time still. I predict that as long as you can earn points and play BF2 ranked, people will be playing it.

BF2142 is a better game only if you are playing for points. People who are seeking for more fluid and fun gameplay will eventually stick with BF2.

i've been playing the demo for a few days now and i don't think 2142 will appeal that much to the current bf2 players . It could be just me , i dont really like the futuristic setting .

I think that the only reason that people will start playing 2142 is the 40 or so unlocks and 43 ranks .

2142 is a armorfest and BF2 is already pretty unbalanced as far as armor goes so really if you like any sort of infantry combat bf2142 is a nightmare

You know, I felt the exact same way after downloading and playing 2142 for the first time last night.

It's too cartoony for me.

BF2 (to me) is cool b/c it's kinda realistic.
