Haha, EA is such a crappy developer. They can't get anything right.

Re: Looks like EA screws up with other games as well...
EA is the publisher of BF2. Dice developped the game. Despite all the grieving on these forums I still think it's one of the most awesome games I've ever played and I'm addicted to it. Interesting article though thanks for posting. -

EA is the publisher, but being so, they would put the deadlines on when a product hits the shelf. Thus putting out a product that is under developed, and requires multiple patchs to make it what it should have been at release.Comment

It is a good game could have been GREAT and thats the problem!!Originally posted by AmericanDadEA is the publisher of BF2. Dice developped the game. I like you am hooked as well but EA will see not see any more of my money.
As for who did what to whom.
Dice was doomed when they began negotiations to be bought by EA and if my memory still works that was before BF 2 was released and the transaction was just completed a few days ago.
EA has been in the driver seat more or less since day 1.
This game still needs alot of things fixed and they have already moved on to their next project 2142.
They have milked BF2 for all its worth SF, EF, AF, how many patches since release and still we have to deal with bugs.Comment

I agree with his sentiment, whilst never playing NBA Live, or any NBA game for many years I still find it the truth.
EA seem to now be ignoring the "hardcore gamers". The very same people that fed them with the money they so desperately needed when they were young. I see actions that EA have done recently as a form of moving away from its grass-roots and trying to re-invent themselves away from the dark "nerdy" days of hardcore gaming (look at the South Park episode about WoW for a stereotype of a gamer).
I can see people that have played and enjoyed games in their infancy moving away from the big companies that are moving into the main stream, understandably so, as I am doing the same. BF2 will be my last Battlefield game and possibly my last EA product for some time until they sort their act out.Comment

Look...if you keep buying EA supported games then you're helping them continue in their ways.
Do what me and my clan have done...we all are going to QW:ET instead of BF2142.
ID has to REALLY **** up for us to come back.Comment

Bingo! This is why EA doesn't support their products properly. They know that so many people will buy them anyway! *cough* BF *cough* 2142 *cough*Originally posted by HarmorLook...if you keep buying EA supported games then you're helping them continue in their ways.

That being said, i will not buy 2142 EVER. It isn't as fun as i thought it woudl have been.
If anyone really wants EA to realize, many many people would have to NOT BUY IT.Comment

Re: Looks like EA screws up with other games as well...
I guess you never heard about the madden 06 psp port it crashed like crazy and randomly shut down and the only thing EA would do was issue a workaround that made you turn features off and when that didn't work and the community told them about it they said "yes it does work and we won't be working on it further goodbye", it took them months to even admit that there was a problem it was the biggest display of jackassery to hit video games in a long time. EA has the worst support out of any large game maker to date.Comment
