MAn, ive got eyes and also try this, i hit E constantly where the cockpit would be, but doesnt matter, there are ppl that will get the place before than me.

The ping thing can be an answer...

Why hit it ... just hold it down.
I find that to be the best way to hitch-hike in the game, a car comes roaring, I hold down the E and pop, I'm in. Same would work at vehicles spawns.

Definitely hold down "E" if you're waiting for a vehicle to respawn. Get as near to the cockpit as you can guess where it will be (or just stand where other people are standing). If nobody else is holding down "E" you'll probably get in first. If they are then it'll be luck of the draw but at least you have a chance.

i´ve noticed this in some ppl, especially plane whores and tank whores.

They somehow are able to respawn at the best location to get faster than anyone else to the plane or tank they want.

And they always do it.

And not only that but also if they are waiting they sit in the right spot and always get the gunner position no matter what you do.
How are this ppl able to do this??

Is there a combination of kit + time that gives you an advantage??

Regarding the highlited question, is there any position + action that always give you the driver position??

Once i met someone from a squad with a high ranking and told me how to stop mecs respawning at the chopper base heliport in Sharqui peninsula.

You had to stood near the aa. With that the respawn point would always be red and noone could atempt to " steal " you the chopper.

Ive used the search and not found any thread regarding this.

Just kidding.. I don't believe there is such thing though you can block spawns and I always use it when capping flags just to be secure that they can't backstab me..

They higher rank gets the vehicle because they know where to stand, can anticipate the spawn and are using their method for the "E" button (hold or tap). Beyond that rank has nothing to do with it.

As for blocking spawns, the only map I have seen that on is Dragon Valley at the Chinese base. If someone has spawned at the hanger near the UAV and doesn't move, the spawn point will be red and nobody can spawn in there.

As for the gunner position, many people (especially those who can't fly), immediately hit F2 after getting in to switch to the gunner seat. Those same gunners will often leave the chopper if they get in the pilot seat, so be prepared to get in even if you get shut out on the spawn.

I would usually get into wake within the first 3 peeps but i have the worst luck with spawn points. Like the one at the end of the runway on chinese side and someone else has got the jeep and they are driving away and you can rest assured he aint gonna stop so you start hoofing it towards the tank but some bugger spawns and takes that and then you notice noone has took the chopper so you run for it at which point someone spawns at the aa emplacement and beats you to it and then of course the inevitabel arty strike which gets you while you stand there like a lemon or you may be lucky enough to get to it but you can rest assured there is an f35 on an intercept course hoping you did get into it so he can get his easy kill

Ha. Classic. I dont really spawn at the airfield anymore cause of that exact reason. The Arty is the nice, little, donkey-punch you recieve for getting left behind. You feel like that poor, lone, guy in one of those "MINE" videos.

Christ on a bike! You'd think after being top three, in last few games, someone would recognize you and give you a freakin ride!

Just goes to show the importance of being in a squad.

After 200hrs of playing, I have finally worked out how to spawn and get the vehcile you wants.

Its all about knowing how the BF2 engine works.

Below are the steps,

Step 1 - Select the closest spawn point to your vehcile,

Step 2 - I tired it with every other kit, but it looks like best kit to use is the Sniper kit, but it needs to be the 2nd unlock version

Step 3 - As soon as you spawn, ran as mad as you can to your vehicle (lets use the attach chopper in this example)

Step 4 - Now most times someone will already spawn more closer to it and probably get in the pilot seat before you so this is where the BF2 engine hac works.

Step 5 - For best results, prone, but you can crouch or even doin it standing up. Right click and point your curson to where you would want to be. In this example in the pilot seat. By doing this, you letting the BF2 engine know where your destination will be.

Step 6 - Left mouse click, this will send the following comands to the BF2 Engine, "I have selected by destination, now execute command" Sometimes there is abit of lag, so you might need to rightclick then left click again. The cool thing about the BF2 Engine is that if you execute the command properly, it will let you know by making the pilot bow his head indicating it has worked.

Step 7 - Causually stroll over to the chopper and enter it - Walla, its yours! The team will love you because you get to use the chopper each and everytime and be able to fly around killing enemies and winning rounds.

Notes to remmeber: Sometimes, you need to do this a few times, depending how far you were from spawn point.

More notes to remember: If someone else tries to use it, when you respawn, next to the chopper, let the person jump in, then jump on the propellas of the chopper and then click on the Punish key, this will disable him from using the trick next time. May need to do it a few times, depending on your server.

If it's about luck (and I think it is), then I have the worst...
In matches, I usually spawn the absolute furthest from the chopper, it's pathetic...
It happens so often, that we agreed the person closest to the chopper will warmspin it for me...

BTW: In publics, most a lot off people spawn sniper... When I make it to gunner seat, I start headbanging, as to avoid getting shot, but I wonder if that has any effect at all...

BTW2: which kit allows you to run the longest (furthest?)

I'm no vehicle whore but I have noticed then when I play MEC in Sharki, I always spawn at the same spot at the heli base. If I chose a kit with a good sprint such as medic or sniper, I usually get to the chopper first. Same if I spawn as US as the main uncap in Karkand, I always seem to spawn right next to the tank. Nothing I do seems to affect that.

Interesting... I noticed this last night on Clean Sweep. Everytime i wanted to spawn at the MEC airstrip to grab the plane. I would spawn by the Commander's assets. then i would run towards the plane and then watch someone spawn next to it, Jump in and fly away... But it seems everytime i play this map, i never spawn by the hanger, It's always at the end of the airstrip...Then when i was auto switched to the USMC side. I made my way over to the same spot on the MEC side. Everytime i blew up the plane on take off(which was three times) It was the same guy....And i was thinking to myself, Man i never respawn next to the plane, None the less, Three times in a row!! Then it came to me why.... ---It's one BIG A$$ EA Conspiracy!!!!!---
