Want to delete those anoing vids?

Some of you might already know this but you know those anoing videos when you start BF2? Eg: EA Games challange everything, DICE, and then the BF2 trailer.
Theres a way to delete them...
Go to My Computer> Program files> EA Games> Battlefield 2> Mod> BF2> Movies. When you get to movies delete everything there EXEPT for...
    Menu.bik and Menu loggedin.bik

I did this, when you start BF2 it takes you right to the loggin menu.
    Saves time and space.

Deleting them is probably not a good idea. Theres a safer way. Take those same movies and rename it to what ever you want. For instance, one movie is named "dice.bik". Rename it dice.backup or anything you want. Since the game no longer registers it as a BIK file it doesnt play the videos.

Before I had renamed the movies, I tried deleting them - the game wouldnt start up. Luckly they were still in my bin and I restored them....and no I didnt delete the menu loggin.

It doesn't make it faster, you just sit at a black screen longer...

The videos usually take about 20 seconds or more, and the black screen 2 seconds for me. Mine starts up really fast.

                      add

                      +restart

to the target line of the shortcut.

Re: Want to delete those anoing vids?

I have something better for you guys : I use this since almost a year (download small .zip : http://files.filefront.com/bf2_menu_.../fileinfo.html)

                        1- Ea > BF2 > Mods > bf2 > Movies

2- Create new folder named backup

3- Move all .bik files in the backup folder and this should get rid of the intro movies (If you want them back just move them back)

4- Extract these 2 files to the original folder to have a BF2 logo instead of the ugly grey background.

                        Enjoy!
