Anyone think EA should make Dragon Valley a little darker, cause if your flying a jet or trying to use your T.V. missles, it's almost impossible and very anoing.

Re: Lighting in Dragon Valley
My first run in with the invisible wall. Clearly seen in these SS. Second run in, it killed both USMC choppers.

Re: Lighting in Dragon Valley
Anyone advocating improved conditions for Jets on any map in BF2 simply does not understand what constitutes a good First Person SHooter.
Yeah let's make things easier for the biggest imbalance in FPS history.
blah blah realism.
blah blah top of the food chain.
I've heard it all.....and I've had enough of complaints from people who fly but feel there's some sort of inconvience that needs to be corrected.
If you argue balance the flyers out of one side of their mouths will claim the "foodchain" argument, while the other side of their mouth expouses the "planes are powerful in real life" line of total B.S.
They're not balanced in any way shape or form I've ever seen when using any other FPS as a benchmark.
And as for realism, that's just the biggest joke of all. 99.999999% of all the manuevers made in jets in BF2 would result in stalls or black outs due to GForces. They move the by far and away , by leaps and bounds, far outside their reallife counterparts, when compared to other vehicles in BF2.
Yes no vehicles in BF2 are realistic, but the jets are simply out of the realm of any comparison to real life. While the others tend to at least mimic their R.L counterparts.
So if you've got some visual problems on a few maps. Deal with it, you've got every other card up your sleeve and now you want the one up mine too? Lump it like every else has to in the game when things don't work out "just right" for that particular sitation, vehicle or kit.

Re: Lighting in Dragon Valley
I honestly think it adds to the challenge but sometimes it gets VERY annoying. I don't know why they didn't allow the HUD color changes to take effect in vehicles but oh well.

That's what I love about Dragon Valley.. You will get better at TV'ing this way. It's one of the hardest maps to use TV's on.. Absolutely love it!

Re: Lighting in Dragon Valley
sure, firing tvgms can be a bit tough in dragon valley
But shooting down the choppers with anything ground-based is way harder in dragon valley.. you don't see your sights or shots at ALL most of the time.

If you want to improve lighting in any game, not just BF2,Originally posted by PLUNK47Anyone think EA should make Dragon Valley a little darker, cause if your flying a jet or trying to use your T.V. missles, it's almost impossible and very anoing.
Google for Powerstrip. It's free. All you do is press CTRL ALT and
+ or - to lighten or darken a game while you are playing it.
Many other things can be done with Powerstrip.
Actually it's not entirely free as you have to wait an increasing number
of seconds eventually for it to start the program. You can pay full price
for the program and obviously you then have instant access to it.
I've even used it on SF night maps to the extent you don't have to
use night vision goggles!
Hope this helps.
