    Why am I lagging?

    Do you guys know why am i lagging with these computer settings?(in a 54 people server)
    CPU AMD 3400 Clawhammer
    1GB single channel ram
    BFG 6800GT
    Please let me know :hmm:

      What settings are you running?

      If your running textures on High, thats why, you only have 1GB of RAM.

      Put textures to medium and it should be fine.

                      everthing on high and AA 2x i think, I think it wasnt default.

                                  If you put your Textures to medium you shouldn't lag anymore, if you still lag, turn you Anti-analyzing off.

                                      If texture and AA goes down to medium and off
                                      Does it affect the gameplay graphics very dramatically?

                                          Default for that rig is everything on medium.

                                          Try everything on medium except:

                                          AA x2
                                          Textures High
                                          Texture Filtering High

                                          It should run smoother like this. If for some reason it does not try texture filtering back on medium.

                                                  Get some more ram. I had the same problem with a similar rig. I fought lag every possible way and the only thing that worked was a least another 512 Meg.
                                                  And, of course it doesn't hurt to shut down some processes that you don't need for the game.
                                                  I do not disagree with anybody or any of the other suggestions.

                                                      u can play around with ur settings...id keep lighting on medium and dynamic shadows/lighting on medium or low as well and that should help cuz for me (i have about the same rig) i didnt want to turn down my textures to medium so by putting lighting on medium..it cleaned up alot of the stuttering
