Seriouly, if you never played a Total War game before: Total War is the name of a series of real time/turn based strategy games (Yes TB and RT). I never had any interest in either genre till I played Rome Total War - I was blown away! It lets you rule your empire from a over head map view (TB element), and when you are ingaged by enemy forces/engaging enemy forces, you are transported onto the battle map in real time!!
The graphics are fantastic, and the action WILL get your adrelanline pumping!!

For those of you who have already played a TW game Bee4 and were not impressed: I assure you, this is something like you have never seen Bee4!!

im a big fan on the TW series myself for me its the best strategy game out there by a long shot

but thats just my opinion this game isnt for everyone

No, but those who do like the Total War series should show their support by taking the poll and posting, so other people will hear how good it is from their BF buddies and give it a try.

Agreed. Shogun is still my favorite so far, lets see if Medieval II changes that opinion.

I was just playing the demo on Agincourt. It's pretty fun, some french were trying to outflank my forces so I moved some guys around to defend the rear, but apparently not enough because they got wiped out pretty quickly. I got rid of them though and repelled all the frontal assaults. But after that there were still 4 groups of enemy soldiers left that didn't seem to want to attack. So I took out one group of 50 infantry, and half of another group of 120 with my archers before they ran out of ammo. They had more regular infantry than me at that point so I had my archers rush in with my heavy infantry coming in for support and beat them. End result was 683 units lost to 1081 enemies killed. Which seeing as I had a somewhat fortified position and the benefit of archers might not be that great. Although I was outnumbered almost 2-1.

I played the DEMO-FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! The battle animations are incredible!!!!!!!

Your units of hundreds engage and it looks like you're watching a movie-or the real thing! Searching for targets, parrying, dodging, slashing, stabbing, finishing move! PPHHEWWW It is mind blowing! And of course this demo is the game in its BETA form!!!! It will get much better.
