how far can we see???

this question may be a bit more for the snipers than other classes, but i was wondering how far can we see in different maps before the smoke/haze/mist blocks our view???
another question is that if we lower the graphics, can we see even further???

under the video options, theres a slider bar at the bottom, max is 100%

Besides setting the view distance to 100%, there are other tricks out there to see even further. For instance, if you are sniping and you are scaning the horizon for enemies, you can turn your view to the right or left, but YOU still look straight ahead and can see enemies when you normally could not when looking straight at them fully zoomed in with your scope. I use this a lot on maps like Warlord. I look away to find the target, then zoom in on that area and see just a blur and fire.

on open maps like kubra/oman, I can only snipe to about 300 yds...WTF?!?!

Different maps have different view distances/fog.

Dalian plant, being the one with the best view distance and less fog, with sharqi or karkand or something being the worst.

Wake or Dalian has the least amount of fog, while songua, sharqi, and karkand has more fog.

Yeah dalian has less than wake.. probably the least out of all maps.

high geomatary let you see enemy's further.
and high texture detail.

on wake and Dalian plant i can see further than 400m but tagets are a blur at around 450.

another thing hiting a target at 400m is not easy even if the stay still.

it requires some serious bullit drop calculations.

as a sniper myself,in video options i say bye bye to dynamic lighting and shadows,and hello to high geom and high textures.

seeing further is one thing,hiting further is somthing else :)

The reason I can tell dalian has a higher view distance/less fog, is cause when I take off in the jets, I take off straight up like a rocket... until I get to the right height to start flying away (700-900)... On wake, the water/carrier disappears at around 450 or so.... on dalian.. I can be at like 600 flying.. and still see ground.
