On another note how much SF have you blokes played compared to vanilla? I've played about 4 hours vanilla compared to about 450 hours SF.
I've played about equal maybe a 10 or so more hours in SF. I used to play mostly Warlord 24/7 but I just got so sick or it I decided to play mods, vanilla, and servers that rotate maps. Warlord is probably my fav still.
My favourite maybe Iron Gator but too much of that game makes ya sick, sepcially when its one sided. It is nice to have corridor fights, great squad, infrantry and hiding spots.
Have to say War lord is great map because you have close combat, tanks and long infrantry combat.
But then all dark maps are interesting to play because of the stealth but i like assasult and these usually suck on dark maps.
All in all best map for me is either Iron Gator or Surge (infrantry only) :p
I try night maps more when im finished with support hehe
Personally I think the SF maps are better thought out than the Vanilla maps and they're a lot more varied. A lot of the open Vanilla maps I find myself walking around searching for enemies the entire time, in SF i can just jump in a Truck or onto a 4 Wheeler.
My favorite would probably have to be Warlord or Leviathon. Leviathon always seems to necessitate teamwork in order to secure a win.
I like Mass Destruction. But it is possible to get pushed back to the Chemical Factory and get trapped in there by the combination of enemy tanks, infantry and helicopter. In my opinion I feel the map needs a mobile AA close to the factory.
You must be joking....
There are 4 AA sites that reach across the map, one at the far right spawn, then one at the middle spawn with the large smoke stack, another at chemical plant and again at the neutral flag.
This is what makes this map so much better than say something like ghost town. Mobile AA mixed in with multiple AA sites makes it fairly hard to have even a decent time in a chopper...granted I've done it and continue to do it, it just sucks always having to hear that "lock on" sound.
i dont see why so many ppl like warlord either, very boring compared to surge or ghost town...
Well, you've not got a lot of choice when 8 out of 10 SF servers have Warlord on when you update servers. Yes, ok, maybe a slight exaggeration, but some server admin's need to be brave and put the other maps on occasionally too (NIGHT MAPS!)
