God in my name relates to all of you who believe that your opinion on any topic is more valuable than mine because I may differ with your opinion. YOu are the ones up on a soap boxes exalting your accomplishments. Im just trying to remind you that theres far more to life and far more meaningfull things that you can be bragging about. Guess when your life is a video game, thats a hard pill to swallow.

You have a one way point of view and don't have the capacity to see my point of view with any appreciation. I will therefore let this debate die. I will not however alter opinion, that anyone who has spent such an inordinate time playing a video game should be rewarded with praise for it. This practice has no doubt effected someone else in an adverse way. Be it family, friends, life. If you insist on wasting your life, expect someone else to remid you that you have done so. Instead of riding the guys nuts, because you want to be just like him.

Dude, I don't wish to turn this into a fight, but it is so, so simple, how do you propose to know how much spare time any 1 has that you converse w/ on the internet?

YOU don't have time to do all the things that YOU want to do (& you're far from alone), but PLZ don't hang this "albatros" around the necks of ppl that have managed their lives better (or were just "luckier if you will, whatever)

Ah, the gift of literacy. Do you read very much? I suspect not based on your posts. This whole thread is based around the assumptions of ‘wasting time.’ Let me ask you, how do you spend your day? How are your grades, you’re in what, 7th grade?

Do you have a used book store near your home? I suggest paying a visit. Hell, I am sure your parents would be more then happy to get you these two books:

Eats, Shoots & Leaves

And

The Elements of Style

I do not recall the author of the first, but the second was E.B. White and W Strunk. You might know EB White from Charlotte's Web. Those two books might change your life and as an adult concerned about our youth, I hope it does help you in some way. And I am sure either of them are $5 used on Amazon.

Not to insult you more, but, I really think you will fail to embrace this attempt to help you out. A few of the primary adults in the thread appear to have their act together and are doing well; meaning you might learn something from us.

Grammar, spelling and punctuation do have great relevance in life. Though I will contend that on a forum of gamers and l33t speak, it falls through the cracks. What does your English teacher feel about spelling, does she let it slide or are your papers full of red ink? That red ink is not there to bring color to a black and white sheet of paper.

Please embrace your schooling. Play games now and then, but also read a from time to time. Reading is time consuming and can be difficult to get started, but once you start doing it often, it is much easier to continue through the pages and pickup another book.

There is a huge difference between being able to read an article from the web and being able to connect with what an author of a work of fiction is painting you. And watching a movie takes all the work out of using your mind. I am not saying complete the whole Dune Saga, but go start with fun easy books relative to your age, like Ender’s Game.

That was very well said RockedChild but I'm pretty sure that you are waisting your word. This fellow need 10 more years when he is able to comprehend what you are really saying. Kids seems to be more and more guided by media these days. Movies, newspapers and television are dictating how young man should behave, dress, and speak to fullfill the expectations of the "others"

Few words for you 7man, when you grow olders you notice that the thing that is important making you feel comfortable is you. When you get it, you realize that you don't need to take "others" in count figuring something entertaining to do. You may realize that chess actually is a nice game, your lady don't need you to be "Fonzie" all the time and you may notice that there are things that really matter to you. Hope you find it, it's much better that way
