Re: All Expert Badges, Medals and Ribbons for BF2, SF, EF and AF

Yes, you caught me. Jealous is me. Yup, man I wish I could pick something as meaningless as a earning BF2 badges to center my life on. What a dream that would be. My kids and wife wouldnt mind at all. My bussiness can wait. I mean really what could possibly be more important than setting a goal and achieving it, even if the goal is completely irrelavant to existence.

Again everyone who has dedicated their lives to this crap should be proud that they have nothing else in life worthy of making a goal towards. Bf2 badges are of course the most important thing a person can do with 1000hrs of their lives. I wonder how imprtant or rewarding it would feel if you say, died tommorrow. Would it still be worth bragging about I wonder?
Dont be such an as* kissing noob next time.
then why do u waste ur time coming here why do u play BF2 at all then if its just a waste of time. all ur doing is contradicting urself making u look like an a s s. oh and pls tone down on using the word noob it makes u look childish.

Good effort but I only have 367 hrs in game since the day it was released. (Thats less than 1HR a day). I have a great life with many goals that take precedence over a game, some Ive achieved while you nobs were worrying about what badge you were working on. I have a number of badges and a decent rank for the time played. No contradictions here buddy. As a hobby the game is what it is. Those of you who have forgotten that its meant to be a "hobby" and not a life goal need help.

Please, stop bragging or trying to make your simple accomplishments into some grandiose event. You wasted enough hours of life in game that the badges you are turning into the parting of the Red Sea are pretty trivial. But you continue to treat them like the holy grail and enjoy your life of nothingness.

once again u are contradicting urself. u come here to this forum and bash a guy for playing the same game that u are playing and yes 367 hours for playing a game is alot. So therefore i would consider ur life as u say nothingness. Every time you use the word noob your oppinion goes down a notch so eventually IMO your oppinion will be about woth as much as s h i t in a bag,

What a lot of ppl don't take into account is the fact that we are not equal in the amount of spare time we have when they say "get a life"

Some ppl have to work, & go to school 12 hrs. a day, 6 days a week to "make ends meet", some ppl have managed their lives well, & only have to work 8hrs., 5 days a week a day to provide a comfortably living for their family

I would be foolish to judge how well some 1 utilizes their time in their life w/ out knowing them, & their personal circumstances

For example: a kid w/ 2 jobs, or an adult that works full time, & goes to school @ night to further himself can spend 20% of their "leisure time" playing this game, & play an average of 1.5 hrs. a day

An "established" family man such as myself may spend 20% of my "leisure time" playing this game, & play an average of 4hrs. a day

If you don't have time to play as much as you would like, reexamine your own personal choices in life, & not "hate" on ppl that went to school, worked hard, advanced in their careers, & EARNED enviable liesure time

OMO peeps are not exactly jealous of your accomplishments in game because they could do the same thing if they had enough free time, the "root" of their jealousy, & hate, is that you have the free time to do what ever you want, & they don't (but is that your fault? , I think not

To not think your accomplishment is notworthy of praise is 1 thing, to "spit venom" on you is another thing altogether, it only exposes the pain ppl feel w/ the problems in their life that they have no control over when they "lash out" @ you

in my most humble of opinions

              peace:)

I didn't ask for praise and couldn't care less about low opinion of me or your inflated opinion of yourself. I am a happily married (just celebrated 16 years) with 3 kids and a dog. They are happy kids that also happen to be honor students and talented swimmers. I can see the ocean from my kitchen and hear the seals at night. I contemplated retirement last year but decided to keep working. The only thing I have to complain about is the frenetic pace of life (with or without BF2). Other than that, nobody in my family has anything to complain about (except the son who isn't allowed to play games online yet).

I am with the kids from the time I get home until they go to sleep either helping in the kitchen, with homework or getting them to bed. I provide kid taxi service to school, morning swim practices (5-7 AM) and meets all over the bay area. I also vounteer with the swim team as a stroke and turn official at meets as well as helping with new team members. I volunteer with the Jr. Lifeguard program. I help out at the school when I can. I have planned and worked at the carnivals, crab feeds, festivals and silent auctions. Oh yeah I also work 40-60 hours weeks.

Am I busy? Absolutely, but I also make time for myself. I don't watch TV at all. When I am playing, the kids and wife are usually in bed, gardening, grocery shopping or out running errands. With all that said, I didn't start the thread to brag or throw stones at anyone else. I felt like sharing an accomplishment with the community that is devoted to my leasure activity. Is my life completely balanced? Probably not, but it hasn't made me as judgemental or grumpy as you seem to be.

Yeah dont listen to him, omo. i play terrible bf2 and i get sick of the game every so often. i have to put it down for a month or two. but when i get back to it, the first thing i ask myself is, which badge was i close to getting? i am no statpadder. but i do want to accomplish something when i play bf2. so i look to see my progress so i can try to earn something.anything. i mean, i think, why buy a game if you dont intended to beat the game (in some respect). badges just help you see your progress torwards doing that.
c.b.g is just assuming too much about you. something to many people do these days. if he really had any vaild points he would have just stated them instead of taking shots at you,omo

Well done, maybe there should be a rank for all the badges. Supreme Commander or something. A title you get with all badges regardless of your points. Shows you have mastered the game. Maybe?

Are you seriously equating earning badges in BF2 to saving a forest or working towards a goal that actually has meaning? If so, please stop now before you look like a bigger dork than you are trying to make yourself out to be.

As for congradulating him, why would I? Or anyone else. Theres more to life than playing a game. If you want to waste your life earning nothing then please do, but dont expect me to jump on your cheerleading bandwagon for it. Matter of fact if you feel so compelled to brag about it, accept that some of us are going to call you on it.

You know, I spent part of my day going through and reading parts of his 200+ posts. You get a pretty good indication that he is a very negative person.

I was looking to find his ingame name in one of his posts, which led me to read a whole lot of them. Appearently, he did not get his real ingame name and only plays 3-4 hours a week.
