Erm....Sneak up on someone and shoot him/her in the head or when Ur fighting with Ur rifle and U dont have bullets and time for reload,switch to pistol and finish him off

man tat is the hardest 2 pull off since there is a delay when u switch 2 a pistol. as for tat backstabbing part, it failed mi. man i should hav use a knife 4 tat...:hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

Crouch when you shoot... and be ready to use your whole clip on the guy... thats if you're not willing to use any other weapons to soften them up in the first place. You really should do a search through the forum for this topic first dude...

Mmm... think what most people think then- and do a search on: "Pistol badge/award", or "expert pistol badge". You're bound to find tips specifically for using the pistol to earn ridiculous amounts of points... but then again, are you just in it for the points? or are you an honourable team-player? hmmm?

Look- the pistol is meant to be your last resort in combat... well- after the knife. Thus- it's a weak weapon, but with the added bonus with very very little recoil when zoomed. Therefore, don't be afraid to use it recklessly in short-range to even medium ranged combat. Only disadvantage is that the clip doesn't have a lot of ammo before you need to reload, and usually reloading takes a while.

You are however more advantaged by shooting any weapon from a crouch or prone position- with the exception of throwable, melee or guided weapons.

It is still advised that you soften up targets before using your pistol on them- usually the best conditions to do this is when:
a) the target is unaware of your position
b) you are on a more advantageous terrain than your target (you are behind cover, and they are in the open)
c) You are well covered by friendlies
d) they are already softened up.
e) they are pre-occupied, looking/fighting something else (people on TOW emplacements, or AA emplacements are great for this.

Also- a great way to get pistol kills is - when you're chasing an enemy who is sprinting, and it will take a while to catch up with them. Lets say they are about... 10-20 metres away from you as you pursue them; you have 2 options:
1. Throw a grenade ahead of them (goes over their head, and will block them from going any further, unless they want to get blown to bits)
2. Shoot them in the back using the pistol/primary weapon.

Now... what both of these things will usually do is:
a) stop them from running, and most likely turn around.
b) catch them by surprise and make them panic
c) make them dive

All of the above usually enables you an advantageous position of shooting your target the first few times, and hopefully neutralise them; also- the advantage of taking them by surprise if they are not so experienced, and usually- they do something dumb like dive or panic, not knowing what to do but get away from the danger.

Against more experienced players- try to put some more distance between you and the target- that way, they're not so hard to hit when they either dash for cover in zig-zags, or run around in circles and dolphin diving and dancing around to dodge your bullets and giving themselves time to react properly (the further away they are- the less you have to move to aim at them; if they're too close, they can easily move out of range, and move too fast for you to catch your aim up to them.)

All I can offer is to keep moving and circle strafing at close range(at very close ranges, sprint around them to catch them in the back), works well on people while they're standing and crouching and it's incredibly effective against the prone spammers(since it's hard to move fast while prone).

Works great for me. Hope that helps.

The one thing about the pistol is you can spam the entire clip as fast as you can click the mouse and all shots will go right where you want them.
