Legand of Merritt Ribon?!?

I was just playing karkand inf only when i got Legand of Merritt Ribon.
I had 20 kills 50 team points the commander just asked to attack the market and i accepted and i got it...
Has this been on bf2 this hole time? Or is it part of 1.4?

50 team points + 200 hrs total + 10 best kill streak + 8 worst death streak + team score of 50 IAR = Legion of Merit

The ribbon the OP is asking about is part of the default BF2 game and not specific to the SF expansion.
