Different Widescreen help needed

just got a 19" widescreen monitor but found as many others have that bf2 doesn't support widescreen
i followed many of the threads and changed the BF2.exe to support my res.
started the game everything looks great but now when i play (multi or single) i continue to move around when i stop pressing the keys.
i'm tearing my hair out. lost count of how many time i've reinstalled the game.
and i don't wanna have to swap back 2 my old CRT monitor every time i wanna play.

Play on a 4:3 resolution and put up with the cropping?

Have you change BF2.exe's process priority?

If so, set the process priority back to normal.
