noob rank questions

i am new to the ranked servers. i have been playing on many servers for about 5 hours (sad, isnt it?) and i have no progress on my rank. is it because those guys at EA are slow, or because something is wroung? (i have patch 1.4)

Stat updates are generally slow, especially on the weekend, since more people are laying.

It will update in time.

Yeah, I was about to say; but hey- he mentioned ranked already.

You'll know it's ranked by the desperation of many of the players in the server wanting to score points by any means possible. Even by team-killing for vehicles and aircraft.

You'll also know it's a ranked server... if you happen to find that there's a whole clan on one team... slowly and gently harvesting points from all the newbs and non-clanners on the other team.

Sometimes happens on public servers too.
