Promotion Lag?

Just hit 850 got the drum roll thing and notice on the screen that I had been promotedl. However, when I went BFHQ I stll had only the one stripe and Lance corporal ranking was a bit disappointed cause I was looking for a couple of unlocks since I also have special forces. Is there a turn around time before the server updates rank or are there programming based problems with actually gettin the unlock and rank. Please advise.

Log in and play another round or something buddy. If that doesn't work... just have some patience.

Usually- restarting BF2 does the job.

Need any help in picking out a new gun for you?

all you have to do is finish the round before u check on bfhq its happened 2 my friend

its the weekend. EA's servers are always slow on the weekends. you may have to wait up to a day for your stats to update.

What is your advice (or the advice of others) on the L96 gun. Also any good or really useful NON GUN unlocks out there

There are NO unlocks that are 'NON GUN'
Grab the G36E <<<<<<<<<< great gun, 3 burst fire, on single shot its like a sniper rifle.
If your new to the game and need kills and points (and have SF) the G36E is the gun you want

L96 for sure this thing is amazing easy headshots i started using it and my accuracy went from about 38% to almost 50% so accurate

Grab the G36E <<<<<<<<<< great gun, 3 burst fire, on single shot its like a sniper rifle.

Not quite the same range... though it is impressive. If you play alot of sniper go for the l96a... headshots galore from the right position.

I got 2 Sergeant Major promo's, one time I guess it didn't work. :hmm: I finished the round too...

Hello again guys. Well my rank went to corporal. However two additional unlock problems. First its telling me that I only have one unlock and I expected two with SF. Second and even more important I am being presented with a list of unlocks on start up NONE of which include the L96A or even one of the other rifles I might be interested in. Wht givves? Any help here would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks to the 1.4 patch, you now have to select a vanilla BF2 unlock BEFORE selecting an SF unlock in that same class. So if you want the L96A1, you need to unlock the M95 first.
