found this on the crane at south docks i wont tell u how to get there u will just have to figure it out for ur self

ive sniped someone from that spot it took a while because theres a very small gap to get a bullet through, i was on the building roof opposite the maintenence building, only thing is you cant really see other flags to well, its great if your china up there and USMC spawns there else your stuck in the wrong place

you know you can get on the tip of the power plant and snipe from there it's trickky but a verry good place to snipe from

that looks more like an ideal place for a pkmer since its not that long range and snipers dont deal as much damage

There's actually lots of dandy places to hide that are unreachable by foot (usually by flying and jumping off such places)- such as on top of the power-plant chimneys, on window recesses of buildings, even some tall buildings have gaps between them that are bridged in some way... I suppose all that matters is finding them, and seeing if they're really that good a place to shoot from.

I used that spot with good success the other day. You can countersnipe every guy trying to sneak along the waters edge below the ridge. Works great.

I found it good as anti-armor too. Everyone points thier turret inland so they don't even see the rocket coming until the second or third shot, and then they assumes you are on the top.

You can escape to better cover for a second and third shot quite easily if necessary too. I took a couple of flag stealing choppers down that way. First shot while hovering, second while escaping.

...tried this spot out last night. It is a good sniper spot. In addition, I found it to be a reasonable Commander spot. Since it is close to a flag and from a enemy scan you appear that you could be on the top surface of the crane instead of in this spot, it makes it more difficult for the enemy commander to know you're the commander versus any other player. I know I always look for those red blips that are in a corner of the map, not moving...

To actually see that you are in this "hidden" spot versus on the top surface of the crane, the enemy commander has to use his "zoom" function.

If the flag happens to fall, you can wait for the enemy to take off and then jump down and recapture yourself before climbing back up.:p

Further, you should also note that from this spot, if you scoot to the left, toward the edge, you can have a line of fire on the only ladder up to your position; meaning that if you check your left every once in a while, you can avoid getting knifed by someone who knows about this spot. Last night, one of my buddies was on the opposing team and he knew I was here and he was trying to shoot me and said that he could only see me when I shot.

If the opposing player has graphics on low, their shadows don't show up. You look like a green lump on a red background. But it is a decent spot for a little while.

EXCELLENT tip, thanks a LOT! I just hid there for one whole round and got 37 kills! I think I'll stay up there with my trusty M95 for the next 450 points, and then unlock my P90 and the European Uber-Sniper rifle...
I wonder if I'll ever come down again!:p

And does the place youre sniping from have a roof and floor or is it just a Rectuangular bar?

I'm going to point out one other thing that I think is "cool" about this spot. I think that this spot, and all like it (e.g. elevated on a crane or other narrow horizontal plane - something other than a rooftop), provides some resistance to getting killed by artillery. Think about it, if the kill radius of an arty shell were a 60' circle (I'm not saying it is) then if you were in an open field, if the shell hit anywhere within 60' of you, you would be dead. If instead of in the field you are on the top of a 10' diameter 65' tall water tank, then the shell would have to hit within the little 10' diameter top of the tank to kill you as any other shell would just continue on down to the ground and kill those poor guys way down there. To kill you, the arty shell has to hit a much smaller target than if you were on a larger horizontal area. The other night, the enemy Commander kept trying to arty me and just couldn't get me, anyone else experience this?
