    wrong maps?

Forgive me for asking a potentially noobish question but...

After patch 1.4 all the servers appeared red in the SF multiplayer menu and when I attempted to join, unsurprisingly it didn't work and I got an error message about having the wrong map rotation. So I followed the advice from this forum and uninstalled both BF2 and SF and then repatched them with 1.4 full. I no longer have red server names in SF but all the maps are the stock BF2 maps(Karkand, etc)! I can't find any of the SF maps there (Warlord etc). So, it's been ages since I last played SF is there something I should know (or something I should have worked out but i'm too stupid to understand)?

What are your filters set on?

Filters are on 'same mod only'. I just kept starting SF then shutting it down and after about 5 times it spontaneously found SF servers and not BF2. I guess it needed time to catch up with itself somehow. Problem solved

That was really odd that it took you that many times to find SF servers considering that your filters are correct; however, we all know that the BF2 game browser is buggy. You may want to try using Qtracker to make finding servers a little bit easier next time should a problem such as this arises again. http://www.qtracker.com/ Well happy gaming to you m8.

Sounds like all of your 'map_client.zip' try the patch from another source and reapplying. Or a re-install and get a fresh 1.4 patch.

Reinstall the game and use the order in my sig, skip the products you do not own.

thanks for your advice guys, the problem is fixed now - after reinstalling bf2 and sf, I patched them with 1.4 full and only after lauching sf about 5 consecutive times it found the correct servers.:)
