I wonder what they are fixing???

it sounds liek thhis "server side upgrade" might help with the connection problems...hopefully....ive never had so many with 1.4 and some of my freinds just quit bf2 cuz they couldnt get into a server

Re: Good signs for patching support?

I doubt very seriously that you see another client patch at all. DICE Canada has been shut down and those were the people that were tasked to patch the BF2 game. I think that any patch that comes out will be for BF2142. Maybe, just maybe, one of those patches will port over to BF2 for any serious engine flaws, but I doubt it would affect any balance or gameplay issue.

I am just glad that hunting season has finally arrived. Deer season is open and duck season is not far behind.

Is this a hunting thread? I swear it was about a BF2 patch...Hmmm.
Anyway there is going to be some kind of patch coming out Ursa:

I've not had too many problems with 1.4. I guess for some, quitting a game is easier than doing a complete reinstall.

                  ahahahah Rev.
well, if we see a 1.41 patch that is great news. I still would love to see 1.5 also down the road. As it is though, I though the whole DiCE CA thing was a "rumor".

I am sure 1.41 is several weeks away and are nothing more then 'minor' tweaks. So, we should not get too worked up as this most likely has nothing to do with fixing stuff like the J10 and such.

I am not planning on quitting, I just kind of stumbled into a "break". I am really waiting on the Desert Conflict release with great anticipation.

I usually have more time to game in the fall and winter anyway because there is not enough daylight after work for me to piddle in the yard with the dogs.

Poor animals my butt! I hunt fair chase, so they have the advantage. I hunt for the meat, but I have more fun just being outdoors than anything else.

You have to promise though, when you bag yourself some ducks and deer you will scream out at the top of your lungs "YOU GOT PWNZORD!!!!"
I hear ya on taking a break, it seems like a necessity after a while just to keep from getting bored.

Re: Good signs for patching support?

Deer are a dangerous...I used to think, oh they are so nice why shoot them! But they are dangerous when you drive around. Here in Texas, more deer die in the winter to starvation. When I leave my work and when I go home, there are whole herds of deer that run across the streets. And I am pretty much in the town too. Those deer are fully domesticated and will run dead into your truck when you are moving by them. It sucks how many people die everyyear because they try to miss a deer in the road and end up killing themselves and children in the vehicle because stupid house wives have to through feed outside so they can get up in the morning and have coffee and see the pretty deer and fawns.

They need to release wolves back into the ecosystem here in Texas.

Now, back to the patch discussion! This is all great for Off-Line.

You mean they found more ways to dumb up the game and introduce more bugs, yay I can't wait .
Anywhoo, POE2 is an awesome MOD for now, give it a try.

Ursa, this is a ringtone you can downlaod for your cell. Enjoy

Do hunters teabag their kills, too, or is that pretty much just an online thing?

Anyway, if they do release a new patch I hope to Christ they don't **** anything else up. This no shooting while standing up thing has urinated me off on more than one occasion. Pretty soon they'll make it so you have to stop moving altogether before you can shoot. :p

I'm pretty sure we don't have to worry about that
They actually said that they are not making any more gameplay changes, just fixing some bugs.

The "has urinated me off" is so far the slyest way of getting around the cussing filters I've seen. Respect!
