XFire question?

Hi all,

A quicky question for all you xfire users:

Should i be able to 'One click join' someone on my buddy list playing BF2? If not is there an xfire type program that supports a similar feature?

What exactly do you mean, when I Click join I just confirm my username/password and that's it.

Right click there name then go to 'Join game' then it will join and now it cuts out the intros

Yep, as long as you have them disabled already it will load up BF2 exactly the same as you would without it.

When i right click, the join game' is greyed out and i can't select it

I've been minimising BF, then trying to join. should i close BF then join?

Close BF then join and it doesnt matter if your intros arnt disable mines arnt and i still load up without them

I wouldnt do it that way, XFIRE doesnt encrypt your password AFAIK.

All XFire does is execute BF2 for you while supplying some server arguments, the SAME exact way you can yourself by modifying a shortcut. So in essence, XFire does not need to encrypt your password because all it is doing is passing extra arguments to an exe.

The truth is that BF2 and Gamespy are at fault for not encrypting your passwords. So if you are paranoid about someone stealing your bf2 pass.... quit playing bf2 :laugh:

Oh and make sure in XFire options that XFire found the BF2 exe, if it didn't I don't think it will allow you to join. Just point XFire to the directory that contains BF2.exe and you should be set.
