More things for the Commander to do?

HAHAHAHAHA. Just give him back everything that was in BF2. Plus Artillery control with the Satellite view.

If there is enough Talent make a Freedom Tower map with elevators, machinery rooms and each floor with something different and important. Have each side alternate turns defending or attacking the thing from Land, Sea and Air.

Dont forget the Underground Subway station and surrounding buildings/memorial.

Yeah it is by far much better looking so I'm equally confused. The UAV and Sat scans are best left out of the game. Perhaps the commander should have the ability to implement temporary "boosting" abilities to squad such as a 10% accuracy or speed increase for a short time duration. It's just an idea but it's something that doesn't make the commander useless nor overpowered.

That reminds me of a game I used to play called Savage. It was a FPS mixed with a RTS. You were a grunt and could use a bow or sword or whatever. You team had a commander who could build structures to help your team, spot, as well as boost player stats with health and damage boost.

I think a commander like that would be much more fun. Build sand bags, AA nest, machine gun nest, mine fields, armory, and etc. Wonder if the engine would allow this sort of thing?

Sorry, but I completely agree with him on the textures. Other than the handheld weapons, I think BF2 looks better than poew in almost every way.

The colors are dark, and the detail in most cases seems lacking to me.

Again, the weapons are friggin amazing looking. The maps and vehicles need a lot of love imo.

The stattics kick *** though, much improvement from bf2 in that regard.

Well at least nobody flames you for having an opinion HaVOCK. I don't agree with you at all on your opinion but would never attack you for it... unlike whats happened to me for voicing my valid opinions in other threads.

The maps look, feel, and play amazing. I don't know what you are talking about there at all. Everything is incredibly detailed. BF2 maps might have more detail on some maps but its a close call. I have not seen any other mod or custom maps that even come close to PoE2's maps.

Vehicles? You got to be joking here too. The Hind is the best vehicle I have ever seen in any game or mod. Its simply stunning. The only vehicle I could agree with at all would be the Marder that its texture looks too dark and not as detailed as some of the others... but that is the only one.

But we can disagree on things, its ok and the world will keep spinning. :)

Yes, we would totaly disagree then. I hate the way thier hind flies, plain and simple. The BMp thing couldnt even climb a small hill, and took damage on every bump. I know they fixed it apperantly from the new patch though.

You were not criticising material you tried. You havent even played DCON, nobody has but thier testers and devs. You were saying that they were purposley using a name too fool people, and ride on other people coat tails.

SO dont compare my dislike of most of the things about poe2 to your rants. We can disagree on mods we have both played, I wasnt speaking to you about my thoughts anyway.

I fell the maps in poe2 are just ugly. I like the atattics in them, and I think they made the best looking weapons models I have ever seen in any game, let alone a mod.

I deleted poe2, and I dont see myself re-installing it. Germany, Ukraine, and the European theatre holds no excitement for me to be honest. Its not a shot at them too much though. I also didnt like USI, or NAW much at all.

RC needs some real love, fast. DCON and FH are my only dreams left. Once thier out, if I dont like them alot, I will drop everything about the battlefield series forever. And you will only see me if you join a Frontlines War server.

What you do is constant bashing, it's okay to have an opinion on something (valid or not, it's an opinion) but when you go out of your way and put people down is plain bashing, and this type of crap gets old real quick. If HaVOCK trolls around these forums posting POE2 or whatever mod sucks (his opinion), it would get old very quickly. But he's doing the right thing by posting his opinion where it belong and not forcing it down our throat.

Honestly, POE devs did a great job with the graphics/skins and sound.

OK...here we go.....

1. City maps

2. grappling hook (see 1.)

3. new boats

4. engineers place sand bags/barb wire (see old DCX)

5. Mortar pick up kits

6. large bridge level

7. African quarry level, or ruins,....or something cool.....like Fallen but in the Jungle.

8. commander option air drops (temporary floating spawn point or small plane/chopper)

9. time bomb (3 settings 10,15,20 sec)

10. anti material mines that dissapear into the ground when place (you can only see the wire sticking out)

11. more to come...
