I think this was the case when the game came out, but obviously it got 'fixed' in one off the patches ...

From what I remember, If a specops is not moving, it will not be picked up on UAV, but I've never verified it.

During the Beta 2 test for 1.4 commanders could not see Snipers who didnt move on the Radar scan, tbh i havnt verified this in 1.4 now so i dont know if it applies to spec ops or not

I'm pretty sure they won't show up under satellite scan, at least under some circumstances. Either that or they just sort of teleport in and blow up my stuff from time to time when I'm commanding.

UAV will definitely pick them up though, as will spotting off the sat scan.
