    CTD / Fraps questions

OK, i'm experiencing CTD's everytime I create a server (right when clicking "create server" or whatever button it is), or single player - again when clicking the button
Ive never had CTD in 1.4, and fortunately none a signle CTD related to MP.
But sometimes SP is important, for instance I just discovered this site and want to practice some of those maneuvers :hmm:

Second, most of the time my fps stands in about 70-100, sometimes 100-150(game.lockfps 0), and yesterday I wanted to make a little vid with fraps.

So in the game I see the yellow fps numbers above, they match the ingame fps counter, but when clicking F8 (the start recording button) the red numbers indicate 30-50. What's the problem?
In the settings even if I change the max fps to 200 it's still the same.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks :)

    no idea on your CTDs,

using Fraps will reduce your FPS as it needs resources to record/save the files, so its normal

It might take RAM and CPU resources which I have plenty of, but GPU resources? :hmm:

I just got A BSOD!!

          the minidump is attached...

I joined a server which had 1 person in it, played a couple of seconds and bam.

You know, the more time passes the more i'm strating to realize that DICE are a bunch of untalented a55holes incapable of doing or programming ANYTHING right!
I mean I can program better than them. And I don't know to program at all

what was the problematic file, ie the error on the BSOD? usually its because of video drivers

              Re: CTD / Fraps questions

When I record a mutiplayer game with FRAPS, I get an average of 50FPS. FRAPS is a very demanding application.

Well, about the fraps issue, I guess I just have to live with that.
                Two more unsolved issues:
                CTD (which is more urgent)
and the BSOD (less urgent cuz they are mostly random, it won't happen again in the next few months i assume)

I don't know, that's why ive attached the dmp file.
If you didn't know that, everytime you have a BSOD, go to
                c:\windows\minidump
                sory by modified
and there you have the dmp file of the specific BSOD you experieced a few minuts ago.
It stores all the data about the error message, but requires some specific tools in order to read it which I don't have ATM.
Does someone know what i'm talking about?
