    Bringing passion back into battlefield?

Hi, this is my first post here, anyways ive played all of the battlefield franchise, and was really big into 1942 when it was in its prime, i used to play for hours on end trying to get the best 2 weeks possible for the "bfstats.com" website, i remember how elated i was when i got into the top 200! even just the thrill of having a very good round, i also was almost completely infantry only, so i thought the fact i made it into the top 200 without using much besides a jeep was pretty respectable etc etc blaw blaw ill stop bragging now because im not taht good anymore

ive also played all the other mainstay FPSs, so im firmiliar with counterstrike ,MOHAA, COD and anything of that time frame

anyways now maybe you understand my backround :p

the point of this post is that im trying to see what people usually do for enjoyment in battlefield 2, i can feel that the game has a very very technically brilliant engine, but besides that what is there to it to keep me wanting more? as their are tens of thousands of gamers playing bf2 im sure that theirs something too it

does joining a clan and playing clan matches make a big difference? the best time ive ever had in a FPS is when i was in a semi-active clan, although part of it was also because it was my first ever FPS game :)

just wondering what gets you guys pumped up? time and time again, and if nothing else, where do all the really amazing players play now adays?

Playing Warlord, too bad I haven't found a non-laggy-for-me SF server in a long time.

Well, i go to college and therefore the guys that i live with and i created a semi-active clan esh thing. We play when we want, and when we have free time, which seems to be less and less i might add. I get the most enjoyment out of sniping. I love getting the highest combat ranking for a round as a sniper. It is always an added bonus for me to play with guys i know, who happen to be down the hall, its fun in my opinion to curse and taunt them, from 2 doors down. I find i dislike armour whores, and all around bitchy players, i like a server where people play as they should and there is almost no tking, or "cartillery". I find myself getting excited when i find a server like that because there seems to be less and less of them each day. I also like a server where there is a group of people who truely challenge my ability to score well, someone who has been outsniping me or something along those lines.

I find now, playing the forgotten maps brings enjoyment to the game. Stuff like Songhua&Zatar or the rare SF/EF maps.

If a community map rank program ever gets off the ground, I am sure new life will develope with BF2
