All of a sudden after the 1.4 patch, (Was never a problem with v1.3), My textures are taking longer to load, and a lot of them just appear black. In addition, when i try and go into my iron-sight, or red dot, or any scope of any sort, the part of the gun that i look through will be black. When i go to Squad or Commander mode, The letters are black and blocky. What is the problem.

ATI Radeon X1800 (Not SLI or in Crossfire)
AMD Athlon 3500+
1GB of Ram

It seems you're not alone. I stopped playing a couple of days because it's unplayable. Funny how the patch worked well on my ATI X800 Pro but on my new X1900GT it's total chaos, unplayable anymore. I'm fed up with this ****, I payed for BF2, then Armored Furt and now Special Forces. I spent a lot of money and I expect to be able to play the stupid game. All of my other games work flawlessly so you bet that I was waiting to buy BF2142 but I won't be "paying" for it, that's for sure.

I would make sure you're running on the latest drivers for your system, I had this happen with my 7800gt and I installed the new drivers from nvidia and all is well.
