Hey guys I'm new to the forums and new to Battlefield 2. I noticed that I had an old version of Battlefield 2, it was 1.1 and there was a later version 1.4. So I downloaded it and tried to install it but it gets a little bit updated and stops on a file and just closes out, it doesn't finish. I've tried uninstalling Battlefield 2 and reinstalling it and installing the patch, that didn't work. I tried installing the patch in safe mode and still wouldn't work. Can someone please help me with this problem.

Welcome to the patching nightmare that is BF2........make sure you have closed down all other applications (virus scanners etc) before installing patch...You dl the full 1.4 right?? (not the incrememntal)....maybe the dl was corrupted, try re-dl from another site.....if no joy try grasping at straws.....dl full 1.3 and 1.3-1.4 incremental.....apply both.....
