    1) No. But I have an 6800 NU with 5 pipelines and I unlocked the sixth.
    2) I used to know back then, immediately after I bought it, I don't anymore (like 70-75 degrees Celsius).
    3) NVidia 91.48.
I was so surprised when I saw that pink gun, that I even forgot to shoot at the enemy.

ohz noz my computerz on firesz!? :)

I have a whole bunch of screenshots like this, back with my old computer... I had a MSI NVidia 6600GT. I think it was just overheated... plus it didn't really fit into my slot and was just kinda jammed in there ;D I had all the drivers though.. the thing would crash my game a lot and stuff. .. I got a new computer though so I dont have this problem anymore.. I miss the screenshots though :P

        LOL

I use a 6800GT OC to 6800UEOC (Ultra Extreme Over Clocked) 425/1175, w/ an Artic Cooling NV 5 Silencer , OC w/ Coolbits utlity

I would try "relocking" that 6th pipeline (Original gfx card BIOS right?), maybe your card is 1 of the 1's that the 6th pipeline didn't quite meet specs

It is quite possible that 6 slightly underclocked pipelines is better than 5 full speed pipelines @ pixel fill rate (sounds like an experiment to me)

Or maybe try after market cooling such as an Artic Cooling NV 5 Silencer (what I use), but before doing that check the seating of the HS to the gpu, replace the old stuff w/ Artic
        Silver 5 Thermal Compound

Even if you don't OC try Coolbits OC utilty, it has a setting for "fan always on" (To help keep temps down)

How is your case circulation? Wires out of the way? fans in every place for them (no dust bunnies?), maybe time for a low cost upgrade

To be honest I have not updated my drivers in a while, try going back to a known good driver

          Good idea.
My video card is fanless, but I have one fan in the back of the case.
I haven't got any problems with it, but I recently updated the drivers.
I'll try some other drivers. :)

              Sure.
I don't think it has anything to do with hardware, I just need better drivers. :)
It's not like I have this all the time, like someone who posted earlier.

Many makes of 6600GTs were notorious for overheating. Wouldn't be the first I've heard of it.

As for the pink gun, I've actually held one before, but when you zoom in, the screen turns grey... weird.

I too have a pink weapon, but I don't use it on the battlefield.

I think all this talk of people holding pink guns before, is a good way to come out of the closet and express themselves as never before.

Ohhh, I thought, I had thought of everything, but that is right, I had a problem once (can't remember exactly what the syptom was), until I updated my DirectX to DirectX 9.0c

Also reseat your card, & clean the gold contacts w/ a cloth damp w/ alcohol (finger prints)
