SP support!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn it!!!!!!!!

Hi, I do not have broadband available at home (though I can download mod's from other locations), and so I can only play singleplayer. I get ticked when I read all about a MOD and it says nothing about SP support. I then have to download them, install them and see for myself!! When you make a damn MOD, and it doesn't have SP support - SAY SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Making Single player support is a really hard thing to do. So dont blame any mods for having nog single player support. And if you do want single player download allied intent or hard justice. They do have Singleplayer support.

9/10 of the mods i've played that are singleplayer crash to desktop, its hard to code the bots in.

Have you tried Allied Intent 0.2? that's the best single player mod out that i know of give it a try.

I have Hard Justice (Five Stars***** ), but no, I have never played Allied intent; I'l have to get that as soon as possible. (Just a question on the side: I didn't see anything on their website as to wether or not it worked with the 1.4 patch, would you happen to know? (I only ask because I have downloaded several MOD's that say they are for an earlier version and they don't work on my install)).

It should all be single player with AI.

Most mods are not SP support.

I can't wait for POE2 to write themselves some AI for COOP.

Everyone has demands and improvements that they want for a free game, lol.

Get High speed, thats a better option. If you cant afford it, get a job. If its not available where you are, move from that island and join the modern world.

I cant stand SP mode on any mod or BF2 for that instance, so I just cant relate. SP is for other types of games IMO. The fun of FPS is killing the ego of a real person on the other end.

Apparently this age old argument must be mentioned again:
SP is great for LAN parties, people without highspeed and those who just want to play the game without having to deal with statpadders & hackers. Yes bots don't give you the same game experience as online play, but they still provide a significant challange.

SP sucks, buy games that are meant for it if you dig it then. mod teams have enough crap to worry about imo.

The best games out there (for single player purposes) are based heavily on multiplayer!


Most people have broadband so MP is an option; however, a good many do not, which is why game designers must be careful not to isolate those without BB. SP, therefore, is incorporated into most releases.
Modern games are moving more and more toward MP games, neglecting the SP elements, and by doing so, their SP fan base (Which if you'll believe it or not is quite large in most FPS).
Until all (or at least nearly all) gamers have broadband connections, SP will remain an essential part of any game.
Huge developments are being made in AI, making SP more and more attractive than ever (even to MP gamers).

I have a lot of friends who play BF2 MP all the time, but they still enjoy the SP aspect of the game immensely. When they get sick of cheating, spamming, Trolls, and all the other negative aspects of MP, they load up a SP game and Kick some bot @$$!! (or start a LAN game with me and get their @$$ Kicked!!!)

No matter how much people like you rave (there's more people like you:cry: , Lord have mercy!!!! JJ ) there will always be SP; just because people want it.
