emulation software

i cannot open my game window because it says that i have cd/dvd emulation software running.

i have tried to turn off all of my programs that could possibly be emulation programs, but it does not seem to be working.

any help would be most welcome.

CloneCD, Alcohol 120%, Deamon Tools, can all stop programs from launching with that CD/DVD emulation warning

Run Task Manager and close all unnecessary applications and any services that is not listed user 'System' or 'Network'.

You probably have a bit of software installed that you may not realize is a drive emulator..Alcohol is the one people most commonly would miss.

I have both Daemon Tools and Alcohol installed the none of my Battlefield games ever gave me a problem though.

So I'm assuming you're getting this error even when leaving the retail CD in the drive?
