yes i commanded in the gunner seat on the humvee for a full 60 minute match..... nothing

is it a stationary and mounted machine gun? No. A transport vehicle can not be two different things at the same time. Look for a TOW, or IGLA or a mounted machine gun.

NO! It wont. You have to be in a TOW or a machine gun that cannot be moved from one place to another (hence stationary). The vehicles won't count.
The stinger/igla will give you air defense NOT ground defense so be careful what you decide to hog that round.

i have been trying endlessly to get my basic air defense badge but it does not give me it. i go into the GA servers sit on a bloody stinger or AA vehicle for at least 15 mins sometimes and nothing shows up. I get other badges fine except this one.
any ideas why?

Are you sure you are playing on ranked servers?
Are you actually killing anything? You may need to kill a chopper or 2 to get the server to recognise that you are in fact in an AAV.
