I used my real name in BF2 because i didnt realise i would have to keep it, grrr, but ive reserved TurnipLOrd for BF2142 only because its stupid :)

I think your thread jinxed our server PKM. I had never seen something stupid like "dirtyundies" or "LongHardStiff" before until last night after reading this thread.

I didn't get worked up over it but I thought it was a weird coincidence.

That was a good point about squad VOIP. Just what do you call a guy who's name is so stupid you can't even get a single syllable out of it?

"Hey you with the numbers for a name."

I wonder if a lot of this stems from so many accounts being made, that there's simply nothing left except obsure and stupid stuff?

Any name that is boastful is a name that ultimately looks idiotic.

Stuff like SpawnRaper, =Death_Dealer=, N1ghtmar3, or anything with a 69 in it instantly says "Oh I'm 13 and I play BF2 as late as my Mom lets me."

The best players I've run into usually have simple names, nothing fancy. In the past few months, the trend has seemed to me to one in which people are drifting away from names that try to brag, and instead are just easy to remember, or don't take the typing skills of a safecracker to enter into the chat window.

I chose mine because it's the opposite of the usual "Skull-Krusher1337" or "AnyBong420" lame junior high garbage, and it's easy on VOIP. People just call me Blue or Bunny. I like it because it's humble, and funny when I'm doing well.

I think that in most BF2 servers, there is a lack of humor and too much anger. But seeing something like this is sweet:

it's a sh*tter that i didn't know that the person that you kill see's "You were killed by xxx" before i signed up to an account (this is the first online game i've ever played...

if i'd known that, i'd have a name like the following:

i got my name from my bro i was new to bf2 and we tried "Tman" taken no supprise so he said do "7man" cause they mean almost the same thing.

I think anyone with "Sniper" in their name deserves to be kicked in the teeth. Usually because all they do is snipe, and they suck horribly at it.

i used 'rangedReCon' because my friends was over when i was creating my account and it was his Halo 2 name so meh my fav. was something along the lines of [insert.name.here] thats pretty shaztacular!!!1!
