    Claymore exploit?

Playing Warlord recently and cam across something strange. On top of the radio station with a couple of snipers who had put claymores on the stairs and in the doors so no way anyone can sneak up there and it they come by parachute you can see them. No claymores set off and suddenly 3 of the enemy are there and still none were set off. Stange I thought! Later on another team I am following a team mate up some stairs - he runs over a claymore which I can see and nothing happens - I follow and boom! Is there a claymore exploit out there? I havent heard of it before or seen this before - normally there is no way round a claymore that blocks a doorway.

    Re: Claymore exploit?

I've found they don't work sometimes. Sometimes 5 people run over a claymore and it kills the 6th...

It depends on the way it is facing. If it is pointed to the right, and your buddy runs left, obviously he lives, but if you go right BOOM you die. Clays only have a 60 degree radius.

Hmm never heard of that before. It might just be luck, i've seen a lot of bugs like this in BF2 but i have managed to steer carefully round claymores before.

Most of the time they get me though

It would be great to post some screen shots of the claymore so that people new to SF and BF2 could tell which way they are facing and which way to go around. As mentioned above they only have a specified blast radius so it is possible to avoid them sometimes.

Well i am glad it isnt just me! Even with the 60 degree blast radius I still dont see how with 2 in a doorway, 3 people can get past without setting them off! Still seems some people are just plain lucky!

Claymores suck even when you quite clearly try to avoid them BOOM your dead
