I heard that there was a huge download when you install SF. I have a 56k connection, but my freind has broadband. Could I download that onto his computer, transfer it to mine via DVD, and then install it instead of downloading it?

You can only download SF from Ea Downloader for 9.99.
Your friend must have downloaded it as a torrent?

Assuming you are referring to the Full 1.4 patch to patch BF2 back after installing SF, then yes your friend can download it for you and burn it to CD/DVD for you to install.

I'mnot quite sure you know what I'm asking, so let me try agian.
I heard that when you install BF2 SF you have to make an humungus download as part of the installation. Can I install it, and then install the downloaded stuff afterward. Thank you very much for you help, it was very timely!:)

That's incorrect, you can buy it in the Store. Besides, I thought it was only EF & AF (Booster Packs) that were 9.99 off the EA Downloader.

more like 5 cd's dude. After you install the actual game it offers you the chioce of installing gamespy arcade and some other stuff
if that helps

i think he means DVD, you dont have to install the gamespy at the end of the install,

Yes and no. You don't need to download anything at the time of install, but you will need to d/l 1.4 patch. BTW, how in the hell do you play on a 56k dialup connection?
