when i double click on the patch nothing happens, i don't even get an error message. if i look in task manager wile i try to load the patch it will show it in task manager but then it disappears after a few seconds. if some one could please help me that would be great.

Are you patching from a new install or a previous version?
Either way, the patching program does take a bit to load and initiate...let it do it's thing. When I patched it took a good 1-2 minutes to do something then the patch process took a good 5-8 minutes. Be patient.
If that doesn't work, I would suggest downloading the patch from another source. -

aslo make sure you have enough free space on youre hardrive,i had a similar problem installing the patch on my dedicated server(only 20gb hardrive) i had 3 gig left of free space and the installer would not load .
i free up some space making 5 gb avalible and it works.
but be patient it can take a while to load up.:)Comment

well i have like 250GB left or some where around that, also its a fresh install of windows xp and sp2. i will give that waiting abit a try. in the mean time im downloading a new patch as i type this.Comment

i have a question can you take off patch 1.3 and still have the game working fine cause 1.3 is a huge patch and i would like some more free space on my computer.Comment

Sounds like a possible corrupt patch, I've always downloaded directly from ea's site and haven't had any problems.Comment

i'm having the same problem, also on a fresh install of xp and sp2...there isn't anything AT ALL on the net about this issue..been checkin for about 8 hours or so now...any help AT ALL would be great
fixed the problem...waited 15 minutes and it finally loaded :)
