Compositing technique in Vegas

I dont know if this is possible in Vegas but let's say Im acting in front of a white wall. Then in Vegas I put me over a virtual environment and I want to get out all of the white color (wall) in the first in order to see me acting in a virtual environment (let's say a white matrix style env.)

Is this possible or Vegas is too basic for this

you mean green screen?, so you are trying to act infront of a white wall, better if it was green or blue, then replace that green, blue w/e wall with something else like an street? i dont think its possible in vegas, not that i know of, but in AE,yes

another thing is that I dont really have a green or blue wall in my house... I really want to know how to do this, if I find something Im gonna let you know ;D

How does AE lag? i mean when you try to render or just working on a clip?

You can do SO MANY things in AE then people though,

AE goes about a different way of rendering clips.. its not like premiere.. if thats what you are comparing it to.

Yes, you can do this in veags.
A little thing called chroma keying.

my AE lags when I begin to playback a video. I mean the video is very laggy, cant you imagine when I add effects
