Ok, after reading all the other posts, and your system specs, what I think your problem is.

I'm pretty sure you don't have enough memory, you need a good free 1-2 Gigs for BF2 to run smoothly..

How to fix this: Upgrade your RAM, and just deleting ALL the stuff you don't need (including porn, lol) and then doing a disk defragmentation. Better video card might helpt to

the game is glitchy because u need at least 1.5gigs to play or even 2 to play lag or jumpy free. 768 mb is not going to cut it. also your video card isnt that great either if u have AGP get a x850 or if your lucky and have pci-express buy my card and youll be set but u wont be able to play on high because your processor is probably struggling as well while u play

1.5 Gb of RAM for playing? Come on, I have 1 Gb and BF2 works without jumpy behaviour and my lag is usually 10-15 ms when I'm playing in some local server. My friend had 512 Mb on his old 'puter and BF2 worked nicely even with that, of course it took some time to load when connecting to server.

Anyway, there is no such thing as too much RAM when BF2 is in question, I have to admit that.

If you, like me, have an older computer it would be wise to have another Windows installation just for playing. You know, clean registers and not any crap running in background depleting precious resources. This really makes a difference, and yes, I know there are software to clean registers etc. in case you want to keep your old Windows installation.

Just my thoughs, sorry if I went a little bit on the off-topic side with my rant.
