Road To Jalabad - Hack??

Just came of playing a game on =SEX= Jalabad Infantary Only (maybe not exactly correct) and watched how some one placed c4 at the base of a wall, detonated it and when he was in midair opend his parachute and landed on the top to the wall

The picture bellow details around where he placed it and where he landed..

Friendly Fire must have been off. If FF is off, you can blow up C4 and not damage taemates, but you can fly really high.

I do it all the time on that map. It has so many rooftops that you can pretty much spend the whole round doing that to clear snipers and end up with an okay score.

He was playing a single player game.....just to show us where the jump was I believe.

ye i thought that in singleplayer you could kill your own team though cause i do it all the time dont you otherwise ye c4 flying is fun.

Yea! C4 jumping/flying was originally an issue in BF42, addressed somewhere in the 1.3/1.4 patch of that game. The issue arose again in BFV and was fixed in the 1.1/1.2 patch of that game. Then the issue appears in BF2... proving that EA/Dice fails to ensure the issues of previous games are left unaddressed in their new titles. I am sure 2142 will contain this little exploit as well... but I won't know from personal experience.

If they want to fix the issue with little programming, simple add the grappling hook and zip line, already in the SF expansion, to the vanilla BF2. It is amazing how many claymores can be avoided with the grappling hook.
