is it just me, or has the tv guide been moved down like in sf. i looked in the tips n tricks section, is there a guide of where exactly to aim from different angles and maybe with use of heli hud? remember im stricktly talking from a pilots standpoint, not a gunner.

I guess I don't understand too well, so I'm going to run through it a bit...
Moved down? Like the aiming reticle when firing a TV missle? Not that I know of.. the only thing they changed was range.
If you don't know how to aim it when your flying the chopper for a friend, just try to keep the crosshair in the middle of the target you are wanting him to shoot...
I really don't understand!

basically i did that yesterday and the gunner kept having to steer the missile, if it was aimed properly he wouldnt have to do that. i think theres more to it than put the crosshair on the target.Comment

In the SF choppers, tv tv screen for the gunner is way lower then in vanilla bF2...
So you, as a pilot, will have to aim much higher...Comment

Go to the TV missile bit and it shows where you need to aim to line your gunner up. It hasn't changed and it's always been like that, but the range has been reduced since 1.2Comment

I only started using the TV after the range was changed...how much was it reduced by in the patch? I find it so frustrating to be just a tiny bit short of my targets now I want to know what I missed!!

it was 630m before it was reduced. the problem in those days was that you could tv from outside draw distance and people would complain, hence the nerfOriginally posted by dblEdgeI only started using the TV after the range was changed...how much was it reduced by in the patch? I'm going to jump in this thread and ask something.
Would my Track ball affect the TV guided missle?
Because of it's different set up?
I jumped in the gunner seat with a very experienced chopper pilot over at Tactical Gamer one night.
Every time I fired the damn thing and touched my mouse it would go straight into the ground. It didn't feel as if I could control it at all, not one bit.
I asked the pilot for advice about it and he pateintly explained how to guide the missle but when ever I did anything it was so erratic it mostly nosed dived.
Is it me or is this TV missle the most touchy thing in BF2?Comment
