Intro Skipper?

Is there a "intro skipper" or some way to delete the movie files, as well as the EA games, and Dice intro, without causing issues to the game, so that way it goes directly to the log-on account screen?

yes change the file extension of the movie files

Go into mods/movies whatever in you BF2 directory and change the file exteions from .bik to .bikk or anything you like.

I just deleted the whole movie file and it works fine for me.

You can delete them... I did that since the first time I heard about it in like December 05 and it's been fine ever since.

x fire has a new feature if u use to launch bf2 its supposed to skip the intros

XFire is a program a bit like MSN and BF2s leaderboard combines.... you add your freidns, speak to them etc etc, but it also shows you when they are playing, and you can join their servers etc from Xffire.... quite a nifty program

you dont need to delete all the movies, you dont even have to do any thing to the movies folder.

For your BF2 shortcut, right click, then select properties. The in the target it should read something along the lines of this...

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

add

 +restart 1

and then it will skip all movies.

(so the target will look like...

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +restart 1

incidentaly, there is also a way to automatically log you into your bf2 account, using the same step, but instead of adding +restart 1,

add.....

+playerName YOUR NAME +playerPassword YOUR PASSWORD

My Target looks like this....

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +restart 1 +playerName Tltch +playerPassword *****

Back up the files first, then just rename them to anything you like.
I read somewhere that if you right click on the shortcut and add '+restart' to the target it will stop the intros..... BUT did not work for me
