Awesome guide. Wish I had read it before I got my expert. We seem to have the same knife style.

As for chasing down an enemy, I prefer to chase someone for 100 or so feet before I knife them.:laugh: Preference of course.

Flanking is a knife's best friend. Easiest done against snipers (that are busy of course), and people in mounted gun emplacements/AA emplacements. Support gunners also tend to be easily knifed because they all tend to be proning.

A person can never aim their gun in time to shoot a person rampaging towards them with a knife (in close quarters only of course).

Incoming enemy vehicle thats imminently about to explode? pull your knife out- they'll hop out- but getting out of vehicles tend to be so disorientating, that you'll have more than enough time to knife them as they get their bearings. (there is also the delay of whipping their weapon out as they get out of an vehicle).

Avoid proning; crouch only if you want to knife someone that's proning. Why? because it saves valuable time, and maintains your maneuverability (all you have to do, is let go of the crouch key, and you're set to run loose again).

Nice words of wisdom. Although I'd like to figure out how to perfect the lung attack. I'm not even sure if thats what its called. Sometimes a soulless minion of orthodoxy(DS9 reference) will come up to me out of what i would call normal knife range, squat, and sprint as he knifes me. Of course I'm dead. I've been killed that way tons of times.

So you choose to exist 'here'. It is not linear. (also a ds9 reference).

What you see and what they see can be slightly different. Netcode is responsible but has an amazingly complex job and does it as well as I think is possible. In close quarters combat is where it makes a negative or positive difference though. The difference of 1/10 to 1/2 a second is going to be two to four feet or more in the game. If all goes well, you will actually be the one that is already doing this sprint attack from the eyes of your dead. In a bad senario, well... you will become one, with their blade.

The best guide i've read, knifing in singleplayer has always been fun, but i could never do it online, i only have 6 knife kills at the moment, but i was only playing for a week, then it decided not to work....but i shall be back someday!!

CBW runs a team for the TWL league. I cannot stand competative matches due to rude behavior from many different clans. I much prefer to play against and with those that I like.
