Grenades Bug

Last night I was playing Moongamers Gulf of Oman. I was sniping at the MEC base and when I was spotted a guy threw 2 or 3 grenades at me. I jumped up and started running waiting to be blown to smithereens.. None of his grenades blew up and I ended up killing they guy with my pistol. Didn’t think anything of it until the next round when I tried to throw a grenade and it didn’t explode either. I would actually watch the grenade roll to a stop and disappear without exploding…

Anyone else experience this?

Hmmm that's a new one, I've noticed some problems with the animation when throwing a nade since the last patch, but they've always exploded for me...

Thats crazy, i havent seen that at all and i use nades all the time.

I have not seen this on any of the SF maps. Was this on Vanilla BF2?

can't believe you guys havent seen this. it happens alot to me where i throw a grenade and it just disappears, no explosion the grenade just vanishes. btw their should be a stat on how many grenade headshots you've gotten, ive knocked a few people unconcious at places like hotel chucking a grenade and killin em before it explodes.

It has happened to me many times, including in SF. It seems to happen when you throw the grenade from the top of a building to the ground.

I have not seen this on any of the SF maps. Was this on Vanilla BF2?

Does Gulf of Oman exist in SF?

It could be that your computer system simply didn't draw it. In other words, it still happened, but you didn't see it.

I've noticed it with AT rockets, sometimes it seems they disappear, but the damage/kill was still recorded, but I actually didn't see the explosive impact.

It wasn't just me... The other person in my squad was having the same issue.

I've seen a lot of double-throw granades too. I don't recall having them disappear, but then I usually chuck it and turn around and run.

I've had a few dummy grenades. The worst time was when I tossed a nade into the hotel flag area on Sharqi. I bounced right to where the guy was hiding, nothing happened. After he popped up and killed me, he laughed at me on TS. He saw it roll up to his face and disappear.

There is no Gulf of Oman on SF.
