Nope, I'm the only one that uses this computer and only one that plays games on it. No hacks at all. I didn't install any programs lately. Like I said, It worked fine, untinstall manually, reinstall, patch, now get this. Nothing done in between.

I submitted a ticket but haven't hear anything yet. Got my fingers X and can't play until they unban it. (sigh)

I tried the things you suggested, renentered they and reupdated. Still no workie.

Anyone know how long it takes for them to acknowlege an open ticket at Evenbalance?

I put it in yesterday and was hoping I would be playing again for the weekend. It's not looking promising..... Teach me to reinstall

Damn that sucks... Post on PB forums until they do something or ban you, because if you weren't hacking, that is some lame sh*t. One of the reasons why some people hate PB.

thats not possible. originally PB (evenbalance) had a forum on thier site (I was a member). then after a couple months of people bitching and getting no answers to questions - evenbalance removed the forums from their website. they decided it was easier to never have to answer or justify their actions to anyone ever again. The only place you might be able to get some insight is punksbusted.com, but dont hold your breath. usually they will just say 'Global or Hardware bans are controlled by EvenBalance, we are unable to assist you, please contact EvenBalance' and then lock the thread.

Anyone notice it's odd how this is the 2nd + time recently that someone got banned from PB that don't hack? Maybe an error on their end?

Definately an error on their end. They don't have the resources or capability to look into the real issue why I got the ban. I mean I am sure it was because of a bad uninstall/re-install. I had some weird problems when installing, but then was able to load the game and load the servers so I thought the install was ok.

Now if Evenbalance would have tried to help me figure out why this happened instead of calling me a cheater so quick it would be nice.

Here is their responses...

This might be caused by a corrupted key. Use the following steps to reenter you key from your game manual. This is for BF2 only, do not enter your SF or any other expansion pack keys.

-browse to your BF2 directory and look in the 'Support' folder
-run 'Battlefield2_code.exe'
-re-enter your CD key when prompted
-then download and run the following:
- ftp://ftp.ea-europe.com/UK_Support/E...CDKeyCheck.exe

I tried that and it didn't help, Then I told them it didn't work, what else to try. They replied...

The GUID you supplied was logged using a cheat that tried to prevent
detection by PB. The method used is considered by us to interfere with
the way PB is designed to work, therefore violating our EULA.

If you were not cheating, then someone was either using your computer
or your CD key and was caught.

Either way, your GUID was used to try to hack on PB servers and it is
now permanently banned. You may still play on non-PB servers as our
bans only apply to servers with PunkBuster enabled.


so now I have to fork up the $$ for a new game so that I can play again. They won't help me anymore on this issue.

Warning to all, be careful when you do your reinstall.

at least they are better than VAC, they dont tell you y u were banned...

Maybe he bought the game, tried it, didn't like it...but is now wanting to play again. Don't be so quick to judge from a small matter like that.

I have only been playing for about four months.

I don't know why it says enrolled in 2005. Do you have to enroll to play the demo or something? cause I haven't been playing that long. I think I played the demo last year, but I didn't even buy the game until recently.

jeez, I would hope my stats were better than that if I had been playing that long. lol

I just checked. I bought the game on June 15, 2006.

I guess it hasn't even quite been four months yet. Anyway, I am not lying. I have no idea why my profile says that. Like I said, it must be when I downloaded the demo. Can anyone confirm.

Man, I can't believe the first person I got question from is FFolkes. I have been praising him for his great work lately. Anyway, believe what you want. I don't know what else to say....

I was only trying to help research the problem. As I stated above I don't believe you were reset (I was replying to Vika's post). However, this may be related to why PB is banning you. If for some reason the stats system is screwed up it could have something to do with it.

What FFOLKES is also true, I personally feel that the PB system relies all on (edit: a person's) stats..
The dates on your stats would have made PB go COO COO

That date was the demo. I got my game in September of last year, but my account says i enrolled in July, because i registered my name in the demo.
