My new pc and its problem

ok, i jus got my new pc.
    asus P5W DH Deluxe
    intel e6400
    ati sapphire x1950xtx
    2x 250gb seagate 7200.10
    corsair 2gb 800mhz

the problem is, after i boot, i select 'RAID' under 'IDE Configuration' under 'Configure SATA As' at bios so i can put my hdd on raid. after which, save and restart. then press ctrl+l at post to enter 'Intel Matrix Storage Technology Configuration' which allows me to set my 2 hdd on raid. i then set all 500gb on raid 0 and restart.
next, i put my win xp disk in and it proceeds until the point where it asks u to press enter to start installation. it then says setup cant find any hdd, press f3 to quit. wtf!

funny thing is, when i change in the bios setting to 'Standard IDE' instead of 'RAID', it allows installation. (ie: it detects my sata drives on ide mode).

y cant it detect my sata drives on raid and allow me to install xp?

Windows installation isn't auto detecting your "3rd party raid driver" you should have a disk that came with your motherboard that has those. Now what you could do is going ahead and install it w/o raid. Get the drivers install them and then setup raid. Sorry to hear your running intel & ati.

it doesnt have any floppy! thats asus marketing gimmick of not needing any floppy. the board also has 2 other sata controllers, a jmicron sata controller and a silicon sata controller.

erm, and whats wrong with intel and ati together? i thought i would work pretty well on this board.
