I had installed the 1.4 update and it worked pretty well. I just got a new hard drive the other day, so I reinstalled windows on it (much faster than my old drive). I installed the game, installed the patch. Then I realised I didn't install the Euroforce expansion, so I did that and then redid the 1.4 patch. Now, I can play single player no problem, but every time (tried 5 games last night) I joint a server, within 6 seconds I get a "Lost connection" boot back to the main menu. The only thing different besides the reinstall of all the files is that I put in a basic sound card (Creative Live 24bit).
What is the most logical culprit? Is it the sound card? Or the way I reinstalled the game? Or because I have Euroforce on there now (it wasnt' before because after the last reformat I started using IE 7 beta, so I couldn't download the booster pack until now).
I am at work now, so I can't try anything out till tonight, but all ideas are welcome!
