      Revolution:
      sorry - YOU ARE WRONG
      it is 100% ok to have 16 players LIMIT on a 64 man map
      this has been discussed often, here and in owners forum and on bfroe forum
      and even - if I may be so bold - agreed to by the Indian himself

      what make a server be High points is in the inclusion of "other" forbidden sever rules. or restrictions on game play

      eg
      knife pistol only (duh)
      no armor, no jets, no arty
      no certain flag capture patterns
      etc

      and although there is no clear violation of the ROE
      the latest word out from the BFROE teams to the server owners
      is that there are to be no certain NAMES/WORDS in the server title
      eg
      some call call the server KP or High Points just top attract players but do not have kick rules inside
      well - those servers are to loose their ranking privileges

      anyway = back to the original question
      I am NOT guessing - this has been confirmed
      16 man limit on 64 map SIZE ===============> LEGAL !!!

        Re: High point servers

        IIRC, the warning about the names/words in the server title aren't a "you'll get your rank setting taken away" warning but rather they're words that are being targetted by the compliancy staff for violations.

        So I could have a
        24/7 dragon valley high points server running 16 people max on 64 player map

        and as long as I'm not violating the PoE by disallowing vehicles (without using infantry mode) or restricting weapon usage I would be fine...my server just might be investigated at one point for having "High points" in the server title but since I'm not violating the rules...no problem.

To be perfectly honest, it would really boring running around the same map for 2 hours. I would rather have someone to shoot at regularly.
          If stats matter to you at all, don't risk them. You also risk your reputation as a gamer. No one likes cheaters and no one likes stat padders. Here is another thread on high point servers worth a read, especially the 1st post.
          http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89953

          I know your good a pointing out other threads...but I have never forgotten this one:
          Virus888 merupakan agen slot deposit qris minimal 10000 rupiah tanpa potongan apapun untuk bermain slot bet kecil 200 perak pada seluruh jenis provider slot gacor pasti gampang menang maxwin tahun ini 2026.

          I have asked IndianScout over and over...I have even PMed him a couple times asking him to step up and help define for the community what a real HPS server is. He has yet to pull through. I am not sure why, might be busy locking threads...

          I am getting tired of hearing about people getting their stats wiped because they have never even heard there are Rules of Engadgement for BF. Hell, the sticky for the current ROE is gone...does that mean whatever it said has now been invalidated?

          ROE is to the point in some areas, and left completely open for (mis)interpretation. And the ROE people that frequent this forum rarely give examples for us to go by, they just quote from the actually document.

          Examples people!

          heck, that thread I posted went for several pages...and there was another one going at the same time as the one I just posted that was just as long[er] going off on the missteps of ROE

            High Point servers is referring to Setting the tickets ratio above 200 on a Ranked server.

                did they mean a lock on 16players on 64 player maps, or do they mean having 64 slots but only 16 people online at the time?

                  Re: High point servers

                  The problem is 64 player maps usually have about 300 tickets, 32 player maps usually have 200 tickets, & 16 player maps usually have 100 tickets

                  If you run a 16 man server w/ a 64 player map, & 100 tickets that is not high points, but if you limit a 64 man map w/ 300 tickets to 16 players there are more tickets (points) to go around making it a high points server

                  So it is not the map size that makes it high points, it is the ticket count

                  EA/Dice ROE should specify how many tickets per man, that would make it simple

                  As designed it is about 6 tickets per man

                  16x6=96
                  32x6=192
                  64x6=384

                  I think we get short changed w/ 64 man maps compared to the smaller maps

                  imho

                  Lieutenant General |SI|SERIALBUTCHER

                  peace:)

                    Re: High point servers

                    playing a 16 player limit on a 64 player sized map will make you no more points then playing on any other type of server your points per hour will not improve

                      Yes, and most people understand that. People like myself, just enjoy the change in game place.

                        So....a server with 16 player maximum, and playing on a 64-man map is allowed, but if the server is called "bahblahblah High point server" It is against the rules?

                        Stupid, in my opinion.

                          No.

                          According to EA. A highpoint server is a server that has set the ticket ratio above 200. I will post the link agian as soon as I find it.

                            Ya, I would think that would be the case, because DiCE changed(lowered) the ammount of people required to start a map.

                              ya I know I was just saying that because it seemed like some people thought that a configuration like that would somhow make you more points

                                well people might not know that you cant do it otherwise they saw an oppiurtunity and they took a chance at getting 500 points a round.
