Galactic Conquest?

I played a totally awesome mod for bf1942 a long time ago and I heard word that this mod was being updated and being made a bf2 mod. This was ofcourse a while ago too... Any word on this mod? Did it get scrapped? Did it even exist or were my friend bs'ing me?

I think they changed there mod name to first strike mod team and for some stupid reason there on the total 2142 site but no here <great mod:)

GC is an awesome mod. I still find servers every now and then populated. The guys who made it were working on a mod for BF2 called Shattered Faith which is about Aliens invading the US and looked REALLY cool. However I think that project fell apart and the team moved on and some of the guys are now working with the new Star Wars mod First Strike which just looks awesome. First strike however is slated to be on 2142 to allow them more freedom in some of the features they want to have.

Galactic conquest was so much fun. I cant wait to play First Strike, and will probably buy 2142 simply because I need to try it out.

I guess i will have to try out this first strike thing. It sounds pretty cool by what you guys have said. Does it have a website I can check out? :)

Even if you buy it for mods DICE still wins. Friends dont let friends buy 2142.
