mouse pad??? needed?

do I need a mouse pad for my mouse..its a laser not a ball mouse.....i mean i have a mouse pad but real old and dirty so i threw it at my brothers face ans thought it would make my overall desk look nicer without the mouse pad just the mouse on my desk is this okay??? will it damage the mouse???

No you don't need one. Just make sure you dust often so you don't scratch the bottom too much.

I got a QCK Steelpad and Razer Copperhead and in my opinion the Steelpad helps but not much it always comes down how good your aim is. The best thing you could do is just go on google and search for some reviews of gaming mousepads.

I use a HUGE 14x18 cloth mousepad from Office Depot. The need for a mousepad actually depends on the laser dpi of the mouse itself. Microsft mice are not so great, logitech are excellent, but Razer mice are the best so far.

Yes sir! Love it and I especially love the 1000HZ/FPS/Polling rate that it has it is just pure ownage compared to the G5.

I use a black non-stick pad from Wal-mart. I replace it about every 2 months. I've tried playing without one and I get horrible response from my mouse w/o it. BTW, I have an MX-518

try not to get reflective/shiny mousepads...i think that can screw around with ur mouse if its laser/optical

Who cares about the polling rate if the mouse doesnt feel comfortable in your hands?

Microsft mice are not so great, logitech are excellent, but Razer mice are the best so far.

Actually, microsoft and razer teamed together recently and make a new mouse. Its pretty much a razer with microsoft stamped on it. Im still sticking with the logitech G series though!

I use a hard, but not shiny mouse pad. I don't see how a laser or optical mouse pad that is made of soft cloth can possibly work as well. You need a hard surface for those types of mouse'ssss
